Another hike through Matthiessen

Sometimes it’s hard to believe that a place such as this exsists in the middle of flat prarrie and corn fields.
 headed down (the ultimate workout!)
 shallow water

 spanning the canyon
 crack in the wall
vines
(it was so humid that the lens on my camera fogged up)

Matthiessen

Dwarfed by Nature

I found an old picture of Chris on one of our visits to Matthiessen State Park, Utica IL.
This was 2006 or so, when he still had his long hair. He’s looking up at he top of the cliff.
It was very humid that day and the camera lens kept fogging.
Just a reminder of how small we are in this world.
