Deer Diner

The ate the snowman, now they want more!

There is Hope!

Spring IS really around the corner!
My daffodils are coming up out of snow! (is it just me, or do other people get this excited over things like this?)

Apple Snowman was a Hit!

When we got up this morning we could tell the deer had worked over our snowman a bit because some of the apples were gone. They came back again a few more times to get as many of the apples as they could and by this post, around 5:20 pm, they came back one last time and finished the rest.

It’s Snowman Time!

Sean and his Dad made a snowman for the deer. It’s covered in apples.
Now we wait and see if they like it!

Red Bird

One of my favorite morning rituals, sit by my picture window, camera in hand, sip my coffee and watch the birds. Hmmmm… makes for an interesting mental picture.

Shining Sycamore

American Sycamore (Platanus occidentalis)

It was really nice to see the sun today. My sycamore seemed to glow.

Snow Cone

Sean and I went for a little stroll this afternoon to soak up some long awaited sunshine and enjoy the 40 degree temps….

Snow Oak

Another two inches of snow early this morning. It looks pretty, but I’m ready for spring.

At least I know the deer are still around. One of them chewed down my variegated dogwood against the house. Nice to know they’re not starving this year. this one looks nice and fat under all that fur.
